Venice in watercolour 2

Its time I tried another short video clip. You may have already gathered from some of my blog paintings that I enjoy painting busy scenes with figures. This painting is one of my favourite subjects..what else but Venice. I hope you find it interesting.

Trevor thanks for sharing your technique and doing the demonstration. You make it look so easy. I have very fond memories of Venice in the 60's. Another great scene.

Just Magical Trevor. Well done. Loved the sounds of the blackbirds in the background. You set a very tranquil scene to paint to.

Wow! This is one of the best in progress videos I've seen. Perfectly edited so my eyes were glued to the screen and never bored. In focus, [you'll be surprised at how many blurry videos are out there], perfectly framed and wonderfully executed to unfold a beautiful painting! How did you have the camera? I can only think it was hanging from the ceiling or something.

Thanks for this brilliant clip. I'm starting to experiment with watercolour myself now and things like this are useful. Can I ask what brushes you were using there? It looks like you've done most of it with one big pointed round..? I'm torn between sable or something softer like those Chinese ink brushes.
