Sunny Days

I have painted this scene from one of my holiday snaps of Rhodes. I quite like canopies and umbrellas, they make good contrast and create a splash of colour.

I love the way you seem to be able to imply people, with not a wasted brushstroke in the whole crowd. Are those Tilley hats I see? Nice to think there were some Canadians in Rhodes that day.

Your work is very fresh and immediate. It reminds me a little of John Yardley, but you have your own style, of course. I'll be following your blog too, looking forward to the next painting.

I like the placement of the yellow shirts and the minimal white-clad figure. Your composition is excellent as always.

I am overwelmed that such generous comments have been made. How luck I am to be amongst such likeminded artists.

Another 'home run' Trevor. (wooops...you may not have that phrase in the UK).
It's smashing! Love the high contrast of sparkling light and cool fluid shadows.

Hi Trevor.
I was introduced to your blog by Joan, above. I could say a lot but
will stick with, Brilliant. So
masterful work Trevor. The way you do your figures is unbelievably
brilliant. How I would love to see
some Oil painting from you. If it was at all possible, they would look even better. All the best Trevor.
