I have painted this scene from one of my holiday snaps of Rhodes. I quite like canopies and umbrellas, they make good contrast and create a splash of colour.
I love the way you seem to be able to imply people, with not a wasted brushstroke in the whole crowd. Are those Tilley hats I see? Nice to think there were some Canadians in Rhodes that day.
oh beautiful ! what you did with the light , makes me feel like to be there taking sun ( it is winter here now , i am freezing , your work helps to warm up the room )
Your work is very fresh and immediate. It reminds me a little of John Yardley, but you have your own style, of course. I'll be following your blog too, looking forward to the next painting.
Off course, Canopies, umbrellas are very bright and add colors to our work, I liked the shadow most..Well done! I would never dare to paint such art! :(
I am overwelmed that such generous comments have been made. How luck I am to be amongst such likeminded artists. I must thank every body most sincerly.
Another 'home run' Trevor. (wooops...you may not have that phrase in the UK). It's smashing! Love the high contrast of sparkling light and cool fluid shadows.
Hello Jean Thank yo kindly for your comments. I shall be doing another demo clip soon. They are abit amaturish but at least they show some of my brushwork. Glad you liked this one. Kind Regards
Been a stranger lately, Trevor... sorry. I've been prowling around your blog, and you have really been busy. Some beautiful artworks, here. And some interesting places and figures. Keep up the good work.
Trevor, thanks a lot for visiting my blog. I'm following your jobs since several months and I am always enchanted by your style and the way you paint watercolors.
What I love most about your work is your ability to capture the light. It's marvelous. Your composition, color and tones bring the scene to life. Excellent work Trevor. Now I will enjoy your video.
Hi Trevor. I was introduced to your blog by Joan, above. I could say a lot but will stick with, Brilliant. So masterful work Trevor. The way you do your figures is unbelievably brilliant. How I would love to see some Oil painting from you. If it was at all possible, they would look even better. All the best Trevor. Vic.
