At the races 2 (oil)

Forgive me for repeating a previous image, but I have attempted the same watercolour image in alkyd oil this time. I do try to replicate my watercolour style in oils but unfortunately without success.
I must look on this medium with different expectation.

Trevor this is perfect....the brushwork is like music and I can feel the rhythmical movement of the walkers. It's like music! The color is superb!

Theresa...thank you so much.
What a lovely way to describe a painting.

It is still beautiful, just different. There is more depth to this but I loved the light in your watercolour, same subject but a different "take" and just how it should be... :-)

Your alkyd is equally lovely (though different) from your watercolor... this strikes me as quite successful! Very nice colors and flow in her dress, especially.

This is very good,Trever...but somehow I liked the energy and light of the previous one more! It was just "ALIVE"...your watercolors are truely enchanting...

Both the oil and the watercolor are beautifully rendered. There is such a freshness in both of them. I can feel the breeze as I watch the couple walking away from me.

Dear Trevor,
I think they just had a quicky... and they are running back to something important and official.
You just got them!!!! The watercolor appears the most dynamic to me. Both version super. Happy painting.

They are both lovely, but the watercolor version holds a lot more power for me. All your watercolors seem very powerful, confident, fluid, full of movement and energy.

I like both paintings Trevor. I love the airy spontaneous quality you get with the watercolour. You have an expert touch. This oil has a more solid look for me which is really appealing too, you can feel each brushstroke well done!

Both the art works are extremely well painted but the colors of the oil painting is more vibrant..As said by Sam, Oil painting is really more appealing...:)

Hello Mariano
I think you might be right about the quicky!!! Although I initially I thought they might be rushing for one after having collecting there winnings.
Great that you ahve visited and I do very much enjoy your humour. You have made me chuckle.
