A bit of nostalgia

I feel the need to put in a picture showing my approach to movement and people which is what I like to paint. This watercolour was painted on Khadi paper, an Indian paper I occasional have used. It is quite absorbant and the texture is very rough. Worth trying!!!
I hope you like the painting.

Superb feeling of light and movement. Expert handling of the medium to suggest the architecture admirably while leaving lots of breathing space for the eye and mind to complete. I'm sure this is the style of watercolour painting that most of us strive towards.

Hi Trevor

I have to tell you that I love your watercolours… with that perfect degree of looseness and the wonderful subjects you paint, particularly the scenes of bygone days like the lady with the hat. Great demo too! I hope someday to be as skilful as you are with the watercolours.

Hello to a fellow watercolorist! Wonderful mix of hard and soft, lost and found edges. I look forward to more of your posts.
