Biblioteca Marciana (Piazzeta San Marco)

This composition I thoroughly enjoyed doing.
Taken from a photo on one of my recent trips to Venice. Of course I have used artistic licsence and introduced some period garments.
It took about 60 minutes to complete, using Arches Arquarel 140lb rough textured paper and my favourite size 14 kolinsky sable pointed round brush.
I hope you enjoy the little snippet of this excercise.

I followed your link here from ArtForum. Good start to your blog, Trevor, and here's a tip: experience tells me that if you want to get more traffic through, you need to go out and visit a few other blogs and even better, comment on them.

I agree with Harry's comment. It takes a very long time to build up a blog or a web site to the point where they bring on good traffic. It's something that has to be worked at, and worked with, on an ongoing and regular basis.

This is a good start and I LOVE your painting. Very atmospheric. Great stuff.

Your advice is much appreciated.
I`m still working my way round the controls on the blog and not sure if you will get this reply. I hope so.
Kind Regards
Trevor
