"Play it again Sam"
My initial reference did not have figure or piano .
A little artistic license has turned a plain interior into intrigue with a narrative.
I hope you like this composition.

" Sunlight at Pantheon " Rome
The composition may be familiar as I have painted this scene before but in a larger size.
This exercise was painted on 11" x 15" Arches 140lb paper. Sometimes painting down size can assist in a more fluid appearance, but fiddling can be a temptation. I hope you like this one.
If you would like to see a selection of my paintings please do visit my website.

"Feed the birds, Tupence a bag"
A challenging composition but one I relish.
Of course I have used one of my own photos to capture the moment.
I would not dare attempt this composition without a reference.
I have tried to capture the panic of the young woman has she shares the bird food with these venetian pigeons.
Not exactly Mary Poppins is it?
More like Alfred Hitchcocks "The Birds".
